One minute, Global Party founders Lord Fink and David Johnstone were thinking: "I could murder a cocktail on the Orient Express". The Next, they were chugging off from London Victoria to Surrey Hills and back.

Back in September, the supper club hosted Global Party 2011, as part of their pre-opening festivities. Local and national celebrities strolled the red carpet for the lavish fundraising affair that commanded up to $1,000 a plate.

The new Sunset Room (sunset-room.om) in Agoura Hills hosted a party of nternational proportions as its inaugural vent on September 16. The Global Party (theglobalparty.com) occurred simultaneously with more than 80 venues around the world—a nod to Jules Verne’s
Around the World in 80 Days.

More than 2,000 guests helped The Global Party get off to a flying start, including hotelier Sol Kerzner; hedge fund boss Ian Wace of Marshall Wace, accompanied by his model girlfriend Saffron Aldridge.
